Our Story

"Anything with Strings"

The only I've ever wanted to do since I was a little kid was play music. Writing a bio about myself...not so much. These are the things I have to do. Whether you are a fan, want to hire me for a gig or project, or want lessons on the instruments I play, I hope you are
entertained, or at least amused. Feel free to check out the music page, the photo page, and of course, my store. Here's a cut and paste from a previous bio, with a few additions-all in third person as a bonus.

Multi-instrumentalist/mentalist Steve Latanision (Steve Latt) has been playing Bluegrass, Irish, Americana, Folk, Jazz, and Country music in the Boston/New England area for the last 25 years, on over 200+ releases (I lost count in the early around the year 2000). As a Berklee School of Music graduate, he has played and recorded the fiddle, pedal and lap steel, banjo, dobro, mandolin, six, and twelve string guitars. Most notable artists include John Cate and the Van Gogh Brothers (8 cds), multi-award winning composer Jim Bauer (1 cd w/ Dagmar, The Blue Flower),  The Dave Sammarco Band (4 cds, 3 eps), Lonesome Jukebox (4 cds), Grammy award winning producer Anthony J Resta (5 cds), and Grammy award winning engineer Ducky Carlisle (4 cds). His talents have also appeared on TV through various artists. So, if you own a TV set, you've likely heard his playing. Steve has also won awards with the MCMAA, NHCMA, and NECMO organizations.

I am looking forward to playing with Sparrow Blue-who's cd I played on (you can check out some of there tracks on the music page)
I am also looking forward to starting a new recording with the Baker Thomas Band (light orchestra version), and starting up on guitar with Adam Farouk and his band of heavy hitters. I am also looking forward to a summer of music and love with The Squeezebox Stompers(Cajun),Michael Cressey (folk), Matt Borrello (folk), Ashley Jordon (rock Goddess), and Lonesome Jukebox (rock-a-billy).
